{"id":26,"date":"2009-08-28T22:30:50","date_gmt":"2009-08-28T21:30:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.free-web-submission.com\/blog\/?p=26"},"modified":"2009-09-02T15:36:29","modified_gmt":"2009-09-02T14:36:29","slug":"how-to-searching-google-like-a-pro","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/free-web-submission.co.uk\/blog\/how-to-searching-google-like-a-pro\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Search Google like a Pro"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Everybody has visited <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/\">www.google.com<\/a> and searched for something, but did you know there are a few simple things you can do that will improve your results.<\/p>\n<p>These tips help sort the Treasure from the Trash in your search results.<\/p>\n<p>Tip 1 \u2013 If your looking for a picture use the images button from the search box or type your search directly in to this site <a href=\"http:\/\/images.google.com\/\">images.google.com<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Tip 2 \u2013 If your searching for a product try using the shopping button or use this link <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/products\">www.google.com\/products<\/a> it will provide search results that include a picture, price, availablity and lots of other quick information.<\/p>\n<p>Tip 3 \u2013 If you want to find information within a single site use a search like this from the main google search box [whatyourlookingfor site:www.siteyouwanttosearch.com] Don\u2019t include the brackets though.<\/p>\n<p>Tip 4 \u2013 By default all searches that are type into google a considered broad searches, you can often achieve better results by using a Phrase search like this \u201cessex local postoffice\u201d use the quotation marks before and after your text.<\/p>\n<p>Tip 5 \u2013 Using Negative keyword search, you can exclude words from your search result by using the minus sign directly before the keyword you don\u2019t want. example [motor show -glasgow &#8211; birmingham -nec] don\u2019t include the brackets.
